With the men's team Konstantin Lesik has become the champion of volleyball tournament on the Universiade in China. At the end the Russian volleyball team defeated Ukraine 3-1 (25:21, 25:23, 22:25, 25:14).

Last night the team "Iskra" has returned from Jurmala. During the practice session our team played two friendly matches against Latvia. In both games players from Odintsovo lost.

The Libero Alexey Verbov has prolonged the contract for one year with our club. In his interview on the official web-site Alexey told that he was really glad to remain in Odintsovo and hoped that “Iskra” would make its fans happy by better results in next season.

Middle-blocker Alexander Bogomolov will play in “Iskra” Odintsovo. The player has signed a new contract with our club for the next season.

Our team has signed the Belgian setter Frank Depestele for season 2011/2012. Frank has an experience in playing in Russian clubs – in season 2007/2008 he played for “Lokomotiv” Belgorod. Last season he was the player of Belgian club “Knack”

After losing the quarterfinal matches “Dinamo” Krasnodar, “Iskra” (Odincovo) finished the season 2010/2011. This year, according to the new regulations (paragraph 2.10), 5-8 places don’t compete between each other. The places from 5 to 8 are determined by the results in regular season in Russia. So “Iskra” has won the fifth place in Russian Super League.
